Men’s Retreat

Mark Benson to lead Men’s Retreat on March 16-17, 2018
Rev. Mark Benson, Senior Pastor at First Christian Church, Meridian, MS, will be the keynoter for the 2018 Men’s Retreat in Alabama-Northwest Florida, which will take place at YMCA-Hargis on March 16-17.  The retreat theme is “Men Following Jesus.”

Rev. Benson is a native of Philadelphia, MS, and a graduate of Neshoba Central High School. He holds a bachelor of arts from Anderson University, Anderson, IN, a master of divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School, Nashville, TN, and a doctor of ministry from Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, KY. He served pastorates in Virginia, Georgia and North Carolina before beginning his current ministry in Meridian in July, 2016.  He is married to LeAnne Benson, a fourth grade teacher at Northeast Elementary School. They have two adult children, Andrew of Raleigh, N.C. and Emily of Greenville, N.C.

The Men’s Retreat is an annual occasion for men to come together as a spiritual community for fellowship, conversation, and inspiration.  The retreat setting at YMCA-Hargis is an ideal environment for recreation and reflection.  For an additional cost, men are given the opportunity to arrive one day early, on March 15, for additional time to enjoy the retreat setting.
